INDUSTRY SUPPORT FOR THE AMPHIBIOUS SHIPS - ROADSHOW
DMO will be running a Roadshow in the period 24 June - 2 July and will visit all State capitals. They are unable to visit other areas at this stage, but regional companies are most welcome to attend presentations in the nearest capital city.

This is subject to being able to confirm venues, which they do not envisage to be a problem. They expect to release further details by 22 may 2008. Information will also be available from the Industry Division's State Business Access Offices, which will be running the local arrangements, and from the DMO's website.

The purpose of the exercise is to encourage Australian companies, especially small-to-medium enterprises, to consider whether they should become engaged in in-service support for the Amphibious Ships, which will offer the prospect of consistent demand on industry for up to forty years.

Each event will consist of presentations by DMO and Tenix the prime contractor for the Amphibious Ship acquisition, and perhaps others, followed by a Q&A session.
