Indigenous-owned office supplies company, Kulbardi, has won a stationery supply contract with Chevron Australia.
“We are very excited to win a contract of this size, and supply office stationery to Chevron’s WA operations,” Kulbardi CEO Kim Collard said.
“As Australia’s biggest Indigenous-owned office supplier, this is a huge achievement for us.”
“Kulbardi is proud to be enabling supplier diversity in the industry and we look forward to delivering on the contract.
“It has been wonderful to work with ICN WA and to be on their registry as an Indigenous business, which has provided us the opportunity to tender for this piece of work,” he said.
Kulbardi’s other major customers include BHP, Rio Tinto Iron Ore, Gilbert + Tobin, St John of God, and Main Roads WA. In the past year, the company had also secured furniture supply contracts with several Federal Government agencies, Collard said.
Kulbardi began operating four years ago and experienced rapid growth when a joint venture was established with Quick Corporate Australia. In the Noongar language, ‘Kulbardi’ means ‘magpie’, with the black and white colouring of the bird symbolising Indigenous and non-Indigenous businesses coming together as one entity to create a new force in the stationary supplies industry.
