FRM is a 100% Territory owned and operated business, servicing the Darwin and Katherine regions. Specialising in the design, installation and service of commercial air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

FRM has been involved in multi-million-dollar contract works for many NT projects such as supermarkets, defence establishments, Casuarina Square, schools and government buildings including Parliament House, Darwin Entertainment Centre and the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory.

Director of FRM; Tony McCall is a born and bred Territorian with over 32 years in the industry. Tony completed his trade in Darwin working on supermarkets across the NT. Tony’s experience within the industry has been paramount for FRM as it has provided access to leading-edge technology in design and installation of controlled environment cool rooms, duct manufacturing and stainless-steel bench work.

Tony started FRM in 2012, with just 5 employees. Today FRM proudly employs 60 trained and accredited apprentices, office staff and tradespersons all of which live locally. Tony prides upon the fact that FRM supports local businesses and where possible will procure within the NT.

They shared with us their most recent innovative project at Asian Foods, where they supplied and installed a rack system comprising of a 170kW C02 low-temperature cascade rack and a 434Kw R134 a medium temperature screw rack and an energy-saving glycol defrost system which is heated freely off the medium temperature rack eliminating electric heaters, allowing the system 2 defrosts a day for less than 15 minutes. Finally, they installed a fully automated Emerson control system with touch screen operation. The same system was recently installed at the Wyuna Cold Stores’ facility at the airport.

FRM proudly supports the community and regularly sponsors many local events. They provide mobile cool rooms to schools and non-profit organisations for their events and shows, free of charge and recently supplied spot coolers for the volunteers manning kitchens and event facilities.
