ICN provides the Gateway to Central Queensland companies supplying the Curtis LNG project

Local companies are gaining access to supplying the multibillion dollar QGC Queensland Curtis LNG Project via an online database designed to assist companies find new business opportunities.

The Banana-Gladstone-Rockhampton region is the second largest recipient of QGC spending on this project to date, to a tune of more than $191m to date and QGC is committed to providing Central Queensland industry with opportunities to become involved.

ICN Queensland, a division of QMI Solutions, is helping QGC Managing Contractor Bechtel Oil and Gas identify local companies with the capacity to supply goods and services to the project via its Gateway – an online database designed to assist businesses identify suppliers and new projects.

Those who register through the Gateway are included in all searches undertaken to identify goods and services to supply to QGC.

More than 1,000 companies have already registered to supply the project via the Gateway and more are encouraged to provide their details, says Jim Walker, CEO of QMI Solutions:

‘This is a huge initiative for Queensland and we’re keen to provide as many local companies with the opportunity to get involved. That’s where ICN Gateway comes in as it provides the ability to source local suppliers from the information companies provide.’
