Western Australian specialist valves business, Profluid, has won contracts worth more than $2.5 million on the WaitsiaStage 2 Development, thanks to help from ICNWA.
In late 2020, engineering and construction company CLOUGH won the engineering, procurement and construction role for WaitsiaStage 2 Development.
The company listed packages of equipment on ICN Gateway.Profluid submitted an expression of interest in the valves packages and approached the Chamber of Commerce and Industry WA, ICNWA’s parent organisation, for advice on how to position itself on this project.
According to Profluid Managing Director Jerome Monteiro, ICNWA was instrumental in helping Profluid to reach out directly to CLOUGH Procurement and was very supportive of the WA-owned business capabilities to assist in that project.
After Profluid won the contracts, Jerome said, “This significant contract award demonstrates our company’s unique positioning in the competitive Australian valves market. It is the result of a focused and constant investment in Profluid’scapabilities to meet customers’ expectations when it comes to delivering specialised valves services.”
ICNWA manager Ray Loh said the company’s win was “much deserved”.

The Waitsiagas field, about 350 km north of Perth, is one of the largest gas fields ever discovered onshore in Australia.
It is expected to bring significant economic benefits to local businesses in both the construction and operating phases.
The WaitsiaStage 2 project includes a new 250 TJ/day gas processing plant with a 20-year lifecycle that will move gas via the nearby Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline.
Profluid Pty Ltd was incorporated in 2017 as a privately owned and operated business.
With facilities in Wangara, Western Australia and Brisbane, Queensland, Profluid service customers Australia wide as well as the Pacific Islands.
Profluid capabilities include valves engineering, valves package supply, valves repairs and pressure testing capabilities, including mobile specialised services.
