Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is a recognized designer, developer and manufacturer of precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries. MFC develops, manufactures and supports advanced combat, missile, rocket, manned and unmanned systems for military customers that include the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, NASA and dozens of foreign allies. MFC also offers a wide range of products and services for the global civil nuclear power industry and the military’s green power initiatives. MFC offers the vital capabilities needed to provide our war fighting and civilian customers the products and services they need in their defining moments. MFC is set for significant growth in the Australian market across a range of projects covering mission segments such as: Integrated Air and Missile Defence, Precision Fires, Close Combat, Strike Weapons, Air Superiority and Energy. Whilst there are a range of specific Defence contracts at various stages of the acquisition life-cycle, collectively they offer some common opportunities across a number of Australian industrial capabilities.

Pilbara Generation Project

The Pilbara Generation Project (Project) will enhance Fortescue’s existing power generation capacity through the inclusion of 150MW of gas fired reciprocating engine-based power generation, together with 150MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) generation and 50MW of battery storage and will be constructed, owned and operated by Fortescue through its subsidiary Pilbara Energy (Generation) Pty Ltd.

AIR6500 Joint Battle Management and Integrated Air and Missile Defence System

Australia’s Defence Department will procure a sophisticated Command, Control, Communications, Computer and Intelligence (C4I) system to fuse information from multiple sources. This will enable coordination of military forces and a more timely operational response, providing the comprehensive situational awareness required for integrated air and missile defence of the nation.

Covalent Lithium Project

Covalent Lithium is developing, and will operate, the Covalent Lithium Project which will include the construction and operation of a fully integrated mine, concentrator and refinery in Western Australia.
